Ingredients
It’s time to get together all of the ingredients you’ll need to make this scrumptious candy.
- White baking chips – These melt together with the peanut butter to create a creamy, sweet base that balances the rich chocolate.
- Chunky peanut butter – The bits of peanut add extra crunch and texture while also giving the candy that classic peanut butter flavor.
- Graham cracker crumbs – Crushed graham crackers add a subtle sweetness and a touch of crunch that keeps the candy from being too rich.
- Dark chocolate chips – Smooth and rich, dark chocolate makes a delicious topping for the peanut butter layer. You can use milk chocolate instead or even a mix of milk and dark chocolate like I did for a little extra depth.
- Dry roasted peanuts – A sprinkle of chopped peanuts on top adds both crunch and a savory note that pairs perfectly with the chocolate and peanut butter.

- Melt the dark chocolate chips in a clean microwave-safe bowl at 30 second intervals, stirring until smooth. Spread the chocolate over the peanut butter layer and sprinkle the chopped peanuts on top. Refrigerate for about ten minutes or until set.

Frequently Asked Questions
Can I use smooth peanut butter instead of chunky?
Yes, smooth peanut butter will work just fine. You’ll lose a little of the crunch, but the candy will still have great flavor and wonderful texture from the graham crackers and peanuts on top.
Can I use milk chocolate chips?
You can choose any type of chocolate based on your preference, or combine different types like I did for a more balanced flavor. Semi-sweet chocolate chips also work well if that’s what you have on hand.
How should I store this candy?
Keep the cut squares in an airtight container in the refrigerator. They’ll stay fresh for up to a week. For longer storage, you can freeze them and thaw them in the fridge when you’re ready to serve.
Do I need a microwave to make this?
No, you can also melt the chocolate and peanut butter on the stovetop using a double boiler. Just keep the heat low and stir often to prevent burning.
